Haven't bought one of the monthlies in eons but I might actual invest in a copy of this one.

It's funny how the British media's view of FZ changed after he died. In fact I think it was a Mojo review of "Yellow Shark" that was the first thaw. Then the Ben Watson book a couple of years later and more recently the Zappa Plays Zappa revival show at Albert Hall. All small steps to rehabilitation. And not hindered by the (ahem) "reassessment" of Classic Rock in all its forms since 1992 ish when people started to be more honest about the music they really liked rather than the music they wanted other people to think they really liked.

Before that, certainly between Zoot Allures (when I first heard his music) and his death my recollection was that he was severely under valued as a composer and guitar player and largely dismissed as a libertarian purveyor of sophomore pornography. Which he was at times, but that was never the whole of the story.

BTW anyone who does not own Yellow Shark should invest immediately. Especially for the guitar solo-phobic. Important record.
