They sound like excellent reads. It's amazing what you can find when you're on a book hunt. I found a really good condition hardback copy of Pete Doggett's 'There's A Riot Going On'. It's a fantastic in depth survey of the social/ musical/political events in late 60s/early 70s etc. An absolute must for anyone into that scene.
Joe Boyd's 'White Bycycles' is equally fascinating, as are Colin Harper's 'Dazzling Stranger' a Jansch biog that covers in great detail the whole blues to folk rock scene of the period. Also 'Syd Barrett: A Very Irregular Head' is the best Syd book bar none IMO, and 'Arthur Lee: Book Of Love'. I'm not overly gone on 'Revolution In The Head' to be honest. Too anorak/techy. I can just imagine Lennon's response if you asked him about his suspended sevenths and harmonic cadences.
