Wounded Bird records has reissued the Strummer/Jones written, produced, played Ellen Folley "Spirit of St. Louis" great stuff long long out of print, some of the Clash magic from their prime.

No advertising just getting the word out on some great lost stuff. Not looking to offend.

I bought this when it came out due to the Clash connection I forget if they co-produced or co wrote some songs, I do remember being very disappointed at the time I probably only listened to it a couple of times.

It is from the same period as London Calling/Sandinista. So how you feel about those albums might dictate interest. Tymon Dogg is also a major contributor.

I wouldn't rate it either, I think it was rumoured that strummer/jones wrote some of tracks and had writing credits but I'm sure I read somewhere that they just helped with production. I purchased my copy in a WHSmith sale for 49pence (along with a reduced copy of Wilder) around 1982 thinking it to be a holy grail to clash fans, retrospectively I wish I'd bought an extra copy of Wilder. Strummer/Jones wrote 7 of the 12/13 songs. Played on and produced whole album. Mick Jones was dating Ellen Foley at the time. Tymon Dogg wrote 3 of the songs.

I was fortunate enough to see the clash play on 3 occasions thought they were the best thing since slice toast in my teens still love them one of the few bands I've replaced vinyl editions with cds due to the scratches of love, my recollection of the Foley album was that it was rubbish, I'll try and dig out over next few days and give it a listen I could be mellowed by 25 years of not hearing it. I shall give it a try. I was right into Tymon Dogg and Sandinista Clash.
