Now that video, either it's a last ditch retirement scheme, or the funniest prank I've seen in a while. Not sure if any of those will sell, I mean $100,000??? And for $5 million, it's gotta be the publishing rights to their entire back catalogue, but who would buy it on a whim?

I think that the video is utterly depressing and ridiculous either way.

One of my favorite all time groups. I remember being in junior high listening to the tunes of two cities at my grandmothers house on headphones while burning up with a fever from chicken pox. I hate to think that experience helped shape the person I am today but I think it just might have played a role. This was back in the early eighties though it seems like yesterday.

Last time I saw them live on the Brown Bunny tour was pretty miserable, actually. It was more like an art installation- there didn't seem to be much, if any, of the kind of spontaneous sparks which draw me towards live concerts. It was just silly, sterile, forced-weirdness shenanigans with a mixed-media element that, at least for me, almost never works in music shows. I don't know, maybe I was just expecting the wrong thing.

ETA: Also, I heard there was supposed to be a musicians Israel embargo on at the moment? I don't have too much respect for anyone still willing to play there after looking at their rap sheet.

ETA Part Deux: Hehe. It seems I said pretty much the exact same thing here a year and a half ago.

Last tour I saw was way back during the demons dance alone tour(which as I said previously I got too drunk at etc..) but anyways from what ive seen of more recent tours they seem to have slipped a notch or two down in production.

If you've never seen them GO! If you have seen them in the past keep in mind that they have changed quite a bit from what they were in the 90's early 00's they sound much more raw nowadays and I'm not sure when they became a trio but I'd still consider going.
