Hee hee that has to be the definitive 'that's why we clash' thing.

I look at 'em and think "Cor I want one!" and you think "hmm fire wood!"

Nice one dude! A high five (on the lower neck if you please!) 8^)

The funny thing is it sounded a good idea!

Bowie did that ICA thing with La La Human Steps, and performed a really fab rocking version of Look Back In Anger, and I remember thinking that I would like DB to do more in that area. He thought the same, and formed TM.

The moral to the story?

Be careful what you wish for!

I would, however, exclude Jimmy Page from my earlier statement. Although I'm only a part time / occasional Led Zep fan, I have to say that I think he is the only person who looks cool with a dbl neck gtr!

I agree. Weird innit? They always look so unweildy on other people. But somehow, on Page's skinny form, his always looked right. Odd really. Praps it was the dragon flares.

Though, I have to laff but -ast year at Glasto, Yes played and Chris Squire played a Triple necked bass hehehe Now that's prog. And yes he did play all three necks in one song hahaha.

Now Mr Squire was just showing off, wasn't he!! You're right, you gotta laugh, though if I had one I'd have to play all three on one number, too!

The other person I always associate with dbl neck gtr's sfor some reason is Dave Bairnson (sic?), out of Pilot. Now they made some fab pop singles, but I suspect - with his haircut (did he have an apprentice Bobby Charlton, or is my imagination running away with me here?) - he was gonna look remarkably uncool whatever he played!!

Of course, our Julian looked lovely with one ; )

Ha! The guitarist for Cheap Trick had a FIVE neck guitar, although one neck didn't have strings...

I remember seeing that. I wonder how much it weighed?

I also recall seeing LZep's John Paul Jones with a three necked acoustic. I think one of the necks was a little mandolin. P'raps he was tryna outdo Page hehe.
