Something we were talking about yesterday at work - about accents. I think we've got plenty of other evidence for bush being a bit thick - but how about our British sense of snobbery about his accent? We hear it as southern and Common. In this country, would anyone who didn't speak Received Pronunciation easily get to be Prime Minister, whether they were up to the job or not? Or maybe this is an argument from the past and people don't think like that any more..
