Just posted this on Village Pump, but thought it also highly appropriate to post it here to in case you never make it over to the VP.

Thanks to Moth who sent me a text to turn onto BBC 2 on Sunday evening, I was able to catch most of Bruce Parry's arctic show where he went to the city where I lived for 7 years of my life. It made me so happy that I am no longer there (Fort McMurray) and feel so sad for the raping of the beautiful land that is there.

It's still on BBC's iPlayer. Second half of program is about it, probably about 30 minutes in.

I witnessed the sickening destruction of an environment in the relatively short time I was there. It sickened me. It really is worth watching if you have any interest in living in this world, in fact everyone should be made to watch it:
