If this story is true, it provides yet more clear proof
of the moral bankruptcy of US policy. It basically
claims that the CIA has admitted that it is prepared
to torture high level al-Qa'ida captives (like the
recently caught Abu Zubeida). That's right - openly
admitting *torture*. The mind boggles.

It makes a complete mockery of dubya's call for
peace in the Middle East. Exactly what authority
does a torturer have to force anyone fall into step
with their demands? Madness.

i'm about two thirds the way through "Stupid White
Men" (the Michael Moore book). It's actually
shocked me a few times - and i didn't think it was
possible to get any more cynical about dubya than
i was.
