socialist way was a split from the true Socialist Path back in 1977 - after a principled argument about whether Trotsky drove on the left or the right hand side of the road*.

Initially formed as the Socialist Bridleway, they changed their name because people might get confused with the whole marriage thing.

In 1982 they bought the Road to Socialism off the recently disbanded CPGB, only to discover the canny stalinist bastards had already ripped up all the tarmac and anyway tey didnt actually want to go to Siberia.

Refounded as the Workers Committee to Rebuild the Central Committee of the New World Revolutionary Way, they realised that that name was really silly, and swapped all that first bit for plain old 'Socialist'.

They have a base in wolverhampton, but no walls, or even a tent to put on top of it.

* it is actually a trick conundrum - trotsky couldn't drive
