Adam Welfare "Great Crowns of Stone " for RSC's . A truly brilliant book! I can't see how it could be surpassed . It could be surpassed with a reprint. It went out of print while I was still saving up for it, and now is outrageously expensive - and a pdf just isn't the same :)

Pleased to say a copy graces my shelves! Can't believe the price of it now, a bit silly. I think I bought it for around £25.

Very nice indeed. I was obviously slow on the uptake, as it was always around £40 when I used to periodically consider it and then decide to wait for some imaginary day when that seemed affordable. Seems like a bargain now though.

Seems like a bargain now though. I wanted to get the Silbury monograph when it was published but it was £80, couldn't really justify that. I don't think it could have sold all that well as there are loads new on Amazon now at around £60 and some 'used'(!) for less.

Judging from the pdf that is a great book, an absolute labour of love.
