There is sarsen in the vicinity, rather a lot of it. Example - those that use the A4 will be familiar with the College arch that passes over the road, and the wall lining the north side of the road is mostly brick but the Marlborough end of the wall is all cut sarsen. However, the prehistoric context can't be certain with the Norman's having built a castle around the site and the stone recycled over and over by later generations. The mound is surrounded by buildings but there is enough area to perhaps find the edge of the mound ditch and maybe a socket may turn up now that every excavation in the area will require a watching brief. Of particular interest is the ditch feature found when the swimming pool was built.
