What a shame.
I don't know what criteria needs to be met but have you thought of going for Heritage Lottery Funding (there is a area division for northern Ireland). I don't know if there is something similar in the Irish Republic.

There is a new set of grants up for grabs at the moment in Ireland. I'm working on an application, but at times like this I feel like ripping it up!!!!
