Anyway, Pilgrim, whose heritage is it anyway? Yours? Hardly. Get back in your box you....member of the public, you. Chuckle, do I detect a note of sarcasm among you little scallywags :-) Anyway, I've started cutting out the first pop-up. My white and green crayons are running a little short though and I might need help with some of the more complicated folding techniques.

From EH website. "14th May to 17th August – visitor information point open 10am to 5pm every day, accessible on foot from Avebury village." I've just got back from Silbury and the visiters center is still not open. I watched cars swerving all over the road trying to get a parking spot at West Kennet Layby. It's only a matter of time before there is a crash. For the life of me I cannot figure out why the hell the Silbury car park is closed.

And, rather hilariously, they've closed the layby further up as well!* WHY??? G x * Well, it was closed when I went by last week, anyway...

The idea is that interested visiters will pay £5 to park in the NT car park and walk across wet fields to the visiters center (only to find it closed.) I watched them bringing old tyres out of the hill today, probably from the old Silbury garage which was demolished after Atkinson left. Atkinson left the tunnel open for over a year so all sorts of crap was probably thrown inside. PeteG Ps. Updated photos on my website here http://www.users.myisp.co.uk/~gtour/Silbury2007.html

For God's sake, just 2 pictures of the inside of the tunnel. How much bloody time and trouble would it have been to take fifty and stick them on the net? What more vivid illustration could there be of their sod-the-public attitude?
