Strip lynchets as well. There’s a dodgy road from Oare to Fyfield (can flood) that passes close to them. Also passes close to Milkhouse Water.

Once started looking at place names in the area with ‘milk’ in them...

To the east there is 'Milking Bushes' at Everleigh (& nearby the renowned Goa Balti). Near Redlynch there is Milkhills Farm, known as Mylkehill in 1563, and there is a Milkwell near Whitesheet. Can't think of any others though unless you count Bottlesford :)

I know the Goa Balti (there’s a good farm shop a bit further down the road by the way). The Goa Balti uses a lot of yogurt in its dishes but is probably too recent to include in this census. Same people run the Indian restaurant between Marlborough and Hungerford (can’t remember the name). We could have a Megameet Madras at one of them sometime...
