Anthony Weir's Irish Field Guide
Feb 01, 2002, 12:39
I think it was AQ who I was talking to about the above book and I mentioned that I would ask the man about it.

The story is the original printing was limited, sold out and never re-printed. What's more it never will be. In fact there are several things that would prevent Anthony from agreeing to it.

Anyway, a while back I put a message on here saying that he had created a CD-ROM to replace this ancient tome. If you are interested then details can be found here.

This contains much more than either the book or the website and has advantages such as proper grid references (his previous publisher insisted on only 4 figure grid refs in the Field Guide).

I am still, however, trying to convince him that the Real Heads want books that they can take out with them or sit in front of the open fire and read!
