all the tables and measurements on the back cover, made the mind work Ah yes, I rember very well. Divide £41-13s-8d and 3 farthings by 14. Try that on the computer ;) We did hundreds of those preparing for the 11 plus, and did it do us any harm? Damn right it did. ;)

Oh how I yearn for the good old days; imperial measurements hanging of murderers (they did this in prehistory if you want a tenuous link) being able to twat kids when they get out of line. the police being able to twat kids & crims when they get out of line the birch / cane conscription but most of all Respect I think I may have gone off topic
