I've never really been into souterrains, but I have the feeling I may have to go do some serious checking out in the very near future. I just bought OS Map 36 of Ireland and it is littered with them !! I don't think you can go more that 2 miles without falling down one of the little suckers!!

For all you Souterrain fans out there I'll do a more full report towards the end of October/ middle November.

Oh, and thanks to whoever made the note about wearing a caving helmet ! I thin k I might live to cherish that advice.
