My missus is a photographer. She takes photos because she enjoys the art of photography. She displays them partly because she wants her work to be peer reviewed, and partly because she hopes that others will get something from the pictures she's taken.
I don't think she considers it her goal in life to educate others about the rights or wrongs of the things she photographs. She certainly never feels the need to post disclaimers with her pictures advising people on the do's and don'ts that could be applied.
Are you suggesting that Picasso was condoning the bombing of civilians because he didn't write "This is bad, kids" on the bottom of "Guernica"?

Good point Mike. I also work in the construction,not distruction, industry.
At the moment working on a new college to educate people. Maybe even small blue planets if they could take the time out from being rude to other people.

Well for sure, but what if you had no message in mind? What if you'd just posted your pics to a site because you thought others might like them?
I don't know how long Dan Mills has been here, but I doubt if he expected to get hauled over the coals for posting some pictures. I hope he can see past your words and continues to contribute.

Yes, as I said I used to believe in pacifism but I'm not sure I do anymore.
But least I'm not a hypocrite, using cliched little signatures.
