Civilisations - got my free OU wall chart last week too. Dave Allen at Peace - sort of rushed biopic thing of one of my all time fave comedians. Aiden Gillen was very good in the part I thought, but it felt a bit slight and incomplete. However, the following documentary, "Dave Allen-God's Own Comedian" was great, even though I've seen it before. Cunk on Britain, earlier - love the Cunk.

Have to admit that I was dubious to begin with as he seemed to be a disser of socialism, saying it will never work. His angle is that 'the left' have tried to narrow the problem of inequality - both of income and wealth with little success. No more than the right anyway. If you look at countries that have less of a problem with inequality for example, ok the Scandinavian countries give the state more of a role via taxes and dispersing the wealth, but Japan manages it through minimal state intervention because there is less income inequality

Cunk on Cerne Abbas... "Before Snapchat... hills were the most efficient way to distribute dickpics..." https://youtu.be/k8XrSeLBbGg "Richard the Third tried to escape the Battle of Bosworth Field by burrowing under a carpark. He died of tarmac inhalation..." "We don't know much about the Dark Ages because when the Romans left they took the last pens with them..." Watch and learn.

Cunk on Shakespeare's creation of words... "I suppose it makes sense that he came up with 'hobnob' as it is the most old fashioned of biscuits. It's got bits of hay in it and stuff..." https://youtu.be/D8jZs_kjDWM It was kind of re-assuring to see that the Shakespearean scholar knew that The Bard hadn't come up with "bromance, sushi or tetwonk...".
