Paul Haig - Great first album, however followed it up with an album called 'Swing in 82' which was big band type stuff - Cole Porter tracks etc. Its a great album but way outside of what was around at the time

I'm agreeing with you. But, you said you (in turn) were agreeing with Moon Cat who did only mention Bedsitter and Sex Dwarf. I was typically poo-pooing his singling out SD. Personal faves: Secret Life, Bedsitter, and - of course - Say Hello, Wave Goodbye. *David Gray MUST DIE!!!!!!!!!! David Gray MUST DIE!!!!!!!!!! David Gray MUST DIE!!!!!!!!!! Sons And Fascination came out with Sister Feelings Call, I remember! Also Young Marble Giants' 'Colossal Youth' is well, well, well worth checking out, although it miggt be a stretch to call it Synth Pop. And from a couple of years ago, Les Rhythmes Digitales' Darkdancer.....

I used to really like the Young Marble Giants - saw them live a couple of times. Is Collosal Youth available on CD anywhere?

I really like 'This Last Night In Sodom' too, but thought it didn't fit into the Electro POP category. The sound of a drug-fucked band full of paranoias, nervous breakdowns and speed psychosis. Dense, threatening and total commercial suicide. Gawd bless ya Marc 'n' Dave.

...and it used to really piss my parents off like a good teenager's record should.
