Not really doing much listening at the mo despite the lockdown, as most of my tunage was associated with going places, walking (headphones) car etc....
Anyhooo, here's the few I have tuned into,,,,

Pictish Trail - Thumb World
A record of two halves for me. Stunning up until the track Slow Memories, then less involving after. First bit is ace tho! almost a natural follow up to The Serpents record 'You Have Been Poisoned By'...well to my ears. Also reminds me of loads of stuff I love. https://pictishtrail.bandcamp.com/album/thumb-world

Simple Minds - Real To Real Cacophony
Possibly my fav Simple Minds album, even as a kid....(waaay before I knew about all things German/Can etc.... this may have been my unacknowledged 'in' for later acceptance of all things McKrauty?). Fav because it contains my two most beloved tracks by them, Changeling and Premonition. Still stunning even after all these years. Am always slightly disappointed that the haunting track Film Theme wasn't actually used on some world weary detective drama.

Adam and the Ants - Peel Sessions/ Dirk
Not heard the Peel Sessions before, good stuff. What I like about this, and a lot of post punk, is the 'space' in the songs. A lot of modern (and not so modern) music just crams everything in there with no breathing space. Layer upon layer of sounds. I like the stripped down approach. Always have, and I guess I always will.

ADULT - Perception Is / ?As ?/ Of Deception
Loving this newbie by ADULT. Starts off a little Cabs/TG, then goes very Nitzer Ebb/Front Line Assembly/ early EDM, which endears it to me muchly.
Less Siouxsie-esque squeals on this one too, which is a good thing. https://adultmusic.bandcamp.com/album/perception-is-as-of-deception

Bowie - Hunky Dory/ Man Who/Scarey Monsters

Cope - Black Math/ Self Civil War
Liking this Black Math more than when I first heard it. Prescient track in 5040. Cannot get that first track off Self Civil War outta me bonce...it's such a fuckin' earworm :)

New Order - Low Life
Have rediscovered my teenage love of this record, which for me is still their finest/most relalised in terms of sound/execution (well accept for the last track...what were they thnking?).

Anyhooo, keep safe and well y'all x
