£27 quid does seem a bit steep fer a double album. About 5 years ago, I picked up a pristeen (ahem, I'll get me coat) second hand copy of Peggy to replace my tired old original for the princely sum of £3.99. Not saying it'll be as cheap these days, but worth a mooch about in your local second hand emporium nonetheless.
To paraphrase David Thomas from Pere Ubu whose a massive fan of CD's so called purity of sound...." That warm fuzzy sound you hear on vinyl isn't the pure music, it's distortion, and I don't want my music to sound distorted, I want it how I hear it"....so don't feel so bad, stick with yer CD, the only thing missing from it is Uptight, and it's hardly essential listening in Cope terms.
