About only two things I've listened to are this CD by Royal Arch called Blasphemie which was a bit too cheesy for me but I only spent five dollars on it anyways... Also a tape by Midwest noise outfit Gnawed called Death Evident, which was a bit minimalistic but better than the previous thing I listened to.

This week I have mostly been listening to two 2CD compilations, Ghosts of Christmas Past (Remake) and In A Moment, a Ghostbox compilation. The former is about as close as I get to Christmas music, and has some gems particularly from Paul Haig and The Durutti Column. The latter is a very belated introduction to the Ghostbox label for me, I think it's pretty good rather than brilliant, but G/F was very impressed by this one. Otherwise: BBC Radiophonic Workshop - A Retrospective (disc 1, up to 1979) The Cure - Seventeen Seconds Cocteau Twins - Lullabies EP Cocteau Twins - "Peppermint Pig" 12" The Glove - Blue Sunshine Cocteau Twins and Harold Budd - The Moon And The Melodies Cocteau Twins - Heaven Or Las Vegas (which has been my most-played album this year) My Bloody Valentine - Glider EP Ned's Atomic Dustbin - The Ingredients EP, "Kill Your Television", "Until You Find Out" 12" singles Pet Shop Boys - "So Hard" and "Being Boring" CD singles Ride - Ride EP, Play EP, Fall EP 12" singles Ride - Nowhere Nils Frahm - Felt

Lots of Kate Bush. 50 words for snow, which I wasn't that keen on although it had its moments. Aerial. The last 15 to 20 minutes of disc 2 is up with the best she has done IMO. Of course in retrospect it feels a little strange hearing Rolf Harris' contributions, but best not to go there. Red Shoes and Hounds of Love. Lovin the latter more than ever. Unusually enjoying the bonus tracks from some 1997 remastering edition. Hiss Golden Messenger/Michael Chapman - Parallelogram. Think this might have been a record store release? Now listening to HGM's Bad Debt album Holy Modal Rounders - 1 and 2. Very influential and rightly so Idles - Brutalism. One of my albums of the year as talked about on the 2017 thread. In Zaire - Visions of the Age to Come
