Remember this? Homestead Records sampler from 1987. All these threads concerning bands from my youth got me thinking of the records that opened things up for me at the time and this comes top of the pile. My mate got it and it was a revelation.
Where I first came across Dinosaur (soon to add the jnr), Big Black, Naked Raygun, etc. At the time Sun God by Squirrel Bait was the one that had me sat on the floor with my mouth open thinking "I can see a different future". Okay, so we were slow off the mark (we were living in a bit of a backwater) but sometimes its worth it for these moments of revelation, to ses what is happening in the big world and that there is excitement out there.
Had an impact beyond its merits. Anybody with anything similar.
