Very pleasantly surprised with this one. Although I’m a big fan of the likes of Cripple Crow, I wasn’t expecting to like this one as much for some reason. First Song For B is fabulous.

ARE YOU ARE MISSING WINNER – The Fall
Second week on the trot for this. Not one of their best by any means – tbh I don’t really like the 2nd half of this set that much. But the first half has some great tracks – Crop Dust and My Ex-Classmate’s Kids in particular. And the version of R Dean Taylor’s Gotta See Jane is entertaining, too!

LIVE! YOU GODDAMNED SON OF A BITCH – Revolting Cocks
No Devotion is awesome. I love the way the lengthy Kilimanjaro-like (the TX track not the LP) intro teases the audience for a while before they all pile in.

BIG HITS (HIGH TIDE & GREEN GRASS) – Rolling Stones
Paint It Black / It’s All Over Now / The Last Time – what a great run of tracks!

HEMPTON MANOR – The Shamen
Really good instrumental album (yes, no Mr C!!)

CUT – The Slits
With New Town sounding especially good.
