I think The Beatles were the greatest band ever. Only overfamiliarity lessens their impact. I envy anyone hearing Tomorrow Never Knows for the firt time. Or Day Tripper, And Your Bird Can Sing, Paperback Writer, Helter Skelter, Eleanor Rigby, Help, etc etc etc.

Howard Goodall's programme about the technical (compositional) genius of the group was excellent And he didn't even mention the Aeolian cadence at the end of She Loves You.
