Yes - that sounds good to me.
She usually starts her set off acapella which, with her voice, is rather startling. But it does grow on ya.
A plug for another american songstress with a lovely hope sandoval-like voice and very melancholy, yet haunting songs; marissa nadler. well worth checking out her first album - ballads of living & dying on eclipse.

I really like her album- especially as she seems to provoke people in a manner where they find her comic- reminds me of Robert Wyatt. Plus she says "thankies!" which is kind of endearing!!! & she's bizarrely the brother of a Californian-politician who claims to have been the one who lost the election for Kerry, with his support of gay-marriage!

bah. why do i have to live in cornwall almost 200miles from the nearest gig?And why do i leave it until now to find out details of the tour proper? Tell us all about it billy milk and co, wont you? The sprout and the bean is my favourite song at the moment.
