Yeah, there IS a difference...which is why I live in Illinois instead of Tennessee these days. While the South might be part of the USA and subject to its Constitution and all that, it doesn't act that way, and these days doesn't even pretend like it should.

Check into a religious/political movement called 'reconstructionism' sometime. Quite scary...and some of their major mouthpieces are well-connected in political circles in that part of the USA.

Where did those IQ numbers come from? It's not entirely clear, but seems to have come from "SAT/ACT scores" which are only taken by people applying for college. In other words, these are probably the avg IQ's of 18 year old college applicants (or perhaps college students? that would explain why CT and MA are top of the list, they have tons of colleges there) -- I doubt this accurately measures the IQ of the voting population. Most of whom have never taken an IQ test anyway.
