I used to take great pains to try and exclude the offending filth from South Walian images but guess we really need to show it how it is. You're right. It would be much more productive to work with the authorities, be their observers on the ground. However occasional solitary e-mails are easily ignored. If so we need to make ourselves a pain in the arse so these places will still be available for future generations to see.


Good plan all round. I'm a monitor for EH/HE on Bodmin Moor and work closely with the various HAR (Heritage at Risk) officers. Any damage I come across when visiting sites or rubbish dumped, I report back to the officer in charge for that area and fill out a report. Being helpful to them has been returned in spades as I am invited to take part in digs and even had my own stone circle to work on (Louden). It has been a great way for me to 'get involved' and I thoroughly recommend it. Beats hands down just talking about it all the time that's for sure :-)
