I do hope that's true. So do I SC. Doesn't the media drive you mad. If they can't get genuine info the buggers make it up! The first report I saw was on television when they said he had been shot and his body found in a field. The rest, as they say, is history....or in this case an ongoing saga! Now everyone will be out looking for him and hopefully shooting him again...but with cameras this time!! Fingers crossed.

Thats good news, I've just read a story about an 'alien' stoat on Orkney who has been safely moved back to the main land, so if any of you out there whilst traipsing around the island see another one please report it, think it was a stowaway.. sometimes you just can't make it up... http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1982700?UserKey=

Yes, heaven help us what those public schools turn out! his father should be ashamed ;) I'm squeezing into my spandex jodphurs .... Hehe! (I have a strange mental picture of you now). Just to clarify something I wrote yesterday - I've absolutely nothing against retirement pensions going up by a substantial amount but do know political bullshit when I hear it. That's put my mind at rest...I'll be drawing mine next June...

I've been following this closely and there is so much conflicting information, deliberately media manipulated to keep the story running. The recurring theme that I have found is that to even the pro-hunting locals, he is such an emblem/totem, that he has always been off limits in the past. The theory is that they got wind through the local grapevine of a group of out of city toffs on the way down for a stag hunt, and so they concocted and spread the story about to throw them off the scent. Everything crossed. I'm a human knot!

Lucky Stoat! It must have been a tad lonely being stuck on Orkney. I wonder how he got there. Stoats are remarkabley good swimmers/climbers, sort of SAS style dudes, but swimming to Orkney ? The mystery thickens... This was wonderful news the other day! http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/nature/back-from-the-brink-otters-return-to-our-rivers-2109430.html

I just signed this petition - Drewbhoy put me on to this organisation during the Trip up (Donald) Trump campaign. I know he's away at the moment so this is for the bhoy. http://www.38degrees.org.uk/page/m/74c05d2e/2d457e91/5895cdb9/4674f41e/489390550/VEsE/ Also a slightly different slant on things at .. http://www.woodlandtrust.presscentre.com/News-Releases/Press-Statement-RE-Forestry-Commission-Disposals-523.aspx,

The Sea Cat wrote: Thanks tjj. I've signed the petition. With your permission, may I post your link to it on the Pump? Also, good to see that The Woodland Trust are at least monitoring the situation and are duly concerned, but I still think we'll need some serious direct action. Yep, signed up as well. A no brainer to any country lover.
