Anyone else going to this? Sounds like it could be interesting! "Festival of British Archaeology: 'Avebury: Walk along a road less travelled' Follow a road less travelled with our Curator or our Archaeologist, as they reveal the little known corners of Avebury’s unique prehistoric landscape on this long ramble. 2pm - 5.30pm. All Tickets £5. National Trust. Meet at the Barn Gallery in the Old Farmyard.. I did a walk around Avebury with Ros yesterday. Usual stuff but as always I did pick up a few usefull bits of info. The highlight was going into the Barn and handling Ros' bits. arrowheads etc... Pete

it was free, I wouldn't pay for a NT tour because of their new T&C's and the copyright grab that is undeway by the NT in general. Pete

A programme of guided walks through the archaeological sites and landscape of Cranborne, together with exhibitions, displays and activities based at Down farm Unfortunately its on Saturday 1st August between 10.00- 17.00 (the day of the Avebury Megameet).. *cava - had to look that one up, its sparkly wine.......
