The first core sample has been taken, they have just moved the rig to start on the 2nd.
When they have 4 core holes they will drop a small charge into each and measure the shock waves with sensors on the outside of the hill.
This SHOULD give a 3D model which will reveal any voids.
The sampling so far has shown that the delicate layers found in the primary mound during the 1969 dig goes all the way to the top.
This meas Silbury is much more complicated that was previously thought.
The core sampling should be finished by the end of September,
