Cheers for the heads up...found out Guys Cliffe House is open near Warwick. Beautiful and creepy old ruin that's only open one weekend a year (unless you pay to go on some kinda paranormal 'research' gubbins). Apparently the Jeremy Brett / Sherlock Homes 'Last Vampire' episode burnt out the interior of the already ruined house in it's final scene....nice clip on Youtube...
