Well!

I already thought I'd died and gone to heaven when Brian Wilson performed "Pet Sounds" live at the same venue, but this really was in a league of it's own. All the best tracks from the debut, "Da Capo" and "Four Sail", plus my favourite album of all time, performed in its entireity with a shithot backing band and a live orchestra. The fact that the crowd were the most animated I've ever seen in the Festival Hall helped too, giving AL a two-minute standing ovation at the end of "You Set The Scene" (this and the "Pet Sounds" gig being the only two times I've ever seen that happen at a rock concert, by the way).

Twas a bit of a shame that the only new song he performed all night sounded like Runrig, but you can't have everything...

Anyone else there?
