Jim Pembroke RIP

Fans of Finnish band Wigwam will be saddened to learn of the death of founder member Jim Pembroke at 75. Following the departure of Jukka Gustavson in 1975, Jim became the de-facto leader of Wigwam, epitomised on their first Virgin release ‘Nuclear Nightclub’, an unsung classic in my humble opinion. Pembroke was a fine vocalist, keyboard player and songwriter with a unique, sardonic edge to his lyrics. I’ll miss him. RIP, Jim.
