Don't leave it to book - Bristol now Sold Out! (I didn't leave it - learning from previous stupid complacency). So the man is still a big draw huh? I'm wondering if the under 50s will make a showing, like Nick Cave's apparent new audience.

I took a friend, who was 31 at the time, to a gig on Cope's "Drunken Songs" tour in 2014 and he must've been the youngest person in the audience. It was mentioned in the "Drunken Songs" tour gig reviews that Cope doesn't attract any younger followers. I've uploaded a shit load of rare Cope stuff on YouTube that barely gets into three figure views over a year. We are, indeed, the die hards with no one behind us to follow it seems?

Absolute independence and control is great but it comes at the cost of reaching a new audience?

My attempts at indoctrinating the kids (the nice toons of course!) have maybe led to good musical tastes and influence but not new generation die hards unfortunately!

Probably a step too far as I am going to both Manchester gigs and then Liverpool the next night. I think I might have forgotten how old I am when I decided to do this! ;)
