Not done this in a while!
HHY and the Macumbas - Beheaded Totem. Released on the usually excellent House of Mythology label, this is wonderful craziness. 4 percussionists, brass and electronics from Portugal. One of my fave records of the year.

Lea Bertucci - Metal Aether. Love this - alto sax, electronics and field recordings. She explores the reverb of performance space. Did two perfomrances at TUSK at Gateshead Sage at the weekend.
Sarah Davachi - Gave in Rest. A modern equivalent of Popol Vuh's Hosianna Mantra may be? Another great performance at TUSK. From Dave Simpson's review "...combines electronic hums and string players, who hold each solitary note for minutes at a time, building to a gradually evolving symphony of stillness".

Giulio Aldinucci - Disappearing in a Mirror. Dark ambient drone.
Black Tempest - Psyberspace. Lovely new album from Squid!
Live - as mentioned above I was at TUSK in Gateshead at the weekend. Some cracking stuff from Terry Riley to the Ceramic Hobs. Oh and Turkish free improv band Konstrukt were amazing.
