A new band to me. i saw them a couple of days ago, at Lunar festival.
There's a lot of marketing mystery about them. They appeared onstage all duffle coated and masked, to hide their faces. The programme hinted that they might possibly contain a space-rock record producer - and perhaps a DJ or musicians from popular bands better known in other spheres... It's all aimed to generate some speculation about their real identities, of course. And, being an overgrown fanboy, I'll gleefully play along.
The way the singer was hanging on the mic stand, when they veered into a slightly Manchester baggy sounding tune made me think that I might be watching Tim Burgess. I thought maybe Steve Hillage might even be at the back manning a computer.
Whoever they are. I really rather liked what I heard.
