I was very sad to hear this. For years I laughed at the Moodys because of their image, and then one *ahem* intoxicated night I properly got them, and I've loved the classic albums ever since. RIP Flutey Bloke

Kinda similar for me. I only knew them through their 80s hit (I Know You're Out There Somewhere) and just thought of them as an MOR 70s band that my dad liked.
Then, on recommendation from one of my school friends I checked out In Search Of The Lost Chord (similarly 'intoxicated') and it was "aha, so that's where they're coming from".
