Silver Eye – Goldfrapp
The closing track, Ocean, is a real killer with its heavy, almost industrial feel.
Damage & Joy – JAMC
A more enjoyable return than one could probably expect. All Things Pass is ace!
Ballad Of The Broken Seas – Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan
Includes a cover of Ramblin' Man but the highlight for me is False Husband.
Transmission - Death In Vegas
Disappointing on early listens but this has proved to be a real grower. Still a few momemnts that unsettle me for some reason!
Stranded – Roxy Music
I can't stop playing this 1973 Roxy Music LP at the moment. I know some folk don't rate it as highly as the first two with Eno aboard but it just gets better and better with age for me - and that opening Street Life intro still blows me away... Wow!! x
Modern Kosmology – Jane Weaver
Definitely one of my albums of the year so far.
