Fields: Churches & Rivers by Spaceship (Mark Williamson).
As I sit here looking out of the back door (beyond the garden) to a field with a horse standing in the rain near to a fence - and behind that sits an eerie looking woodland that lines up with the distant horizon, I'm overwhelmed with a sense of déjà vu - prompted by the sound-track of Mark's new album - reverberating around the house like a timeless moment rinsed with birdy ambiance, glockenspiels, harmonium, flowing streams, triangle dings and meandering melodies of melancholy.
WOW!
It’s like the forgotten love-child of the 1973 Wicker Man soundtrack, but laced with outer spaced past-lives that you feel, but just can’t remember or visually pin-down -- the residual recall penetrating the primeval self; the *is-ness* within.
This powerful music can take you there!
This *is* without any doubt an album that deserves a proper vinyl release, and I already know the CD art-work is beautiful.
Well done Mark - a *Masterpiece* in my humble opinion.
