You got me there - never had any time for Heaven 17, but there's a cracking mix of "Temptation" out there...and it has lots of girlie singing on it! My world is crumbling.

Alright Now - Grew weary after thousands of listenings mostly unasked-for. But the dry to the bone crunchy rhythm guitar riff with just drums does it for me anytime.

Yeah, that is good. It sort of reminds me of a more austere Jean-Michel Jarre.

to name just a few: Dire Straits - Walk of Life and much more Simply Red - nearly everything Queen - a whole bunch 90 % of 80s hair metal It even hurts just thinking of song titles. Damn, you can't get rid of shite songs stored in the brain.

How did I forget those three? Perhaps my brain was trying to protect me from the thought. The only Queen album I could bear to listen to is Flash Gordon, only cos it's got lots of great dialogue (thank you Brian Blessed). Simply Red - yep, definitely up there with the worst of the worst. "Stars", "Fairground", it's all coming back to me, horrifically.

Well whatever, I still think Midge Ure is a good singer and guitarist, of course one man's trash is another man's treasure anyways...

The least I can say is the Human League at least didn't go all weak and icky like the Goo Goo Dolls did. 80s pop music is all a matter what you do like and what you think is annoying. Everybody's gonna disagree on something...
