Yeah, right. Sprawled out on scatter cushions in a herbal fug, as subsonic patterns shake the floor.

Am I really that predictable ? There I was, thinking I was all edgey and mysterious.

Drat.

I'm sure you have enough to be going on with here, but I have to mention a couple of others that I love...

LEGGO DUB which was always by The Revolutionaries when I was a lad, but nowadays is credited to Osiie All-stars. I didn't hear this for years - from about 1979 to when it finally came out on cd a few years ago. It didn't disappoint when we were re-aquainted!

And although King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown gets a mention, I don't think the 1980 LP Rockers Meets King Tubby in a Firehouse does.

Anyone who loves the former, really should check the latter if they haven't already.

'Scientist Wins the World Cup' on Greensleeves. An excellent lp.

My all time fave, I think, is 'Heart' by Noah House of Dread, an Adrian Sherwood produced ON U Sound album. Highly recommended

Thanks. I'll definitely check out the House Of Dread one. Is the first one about football, it's just that I'm not that much of a fan, really.

Could be about anything. There are no football references or effects at all other than a nice drawn sleeve featuring Jamaican reggae stars netting a goal past some unfortunate England stars! It is a great lp. My copy, unfortunately, has a couple of scratches and annoying clicks.

As there's mention of a Scientist lp here I must also recommend his

'Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires'

Worth having for the title alone it's filled with startling, innovative, clean and spacious Dub along with vampire shreiks, Mummy groans and Zombie er...moans?

EDIT: the Wiki tells me that some tracks were used in Grand Theft Auto III! and for which Scientist received no royalties.
