I'm not sure why I sound surprised by that. You really do take yourself seriously, don't you Ian.

Coen Brothers appeal to 'rock' fans and critics? What's all that about? In my experience, they appeal more to people in the acting / drama world, not 'rock' fans.

To paraphrase, stop talking bollocks and we'll talk more.

"BROADCAST - The Book Lovers ep"

I got the Broadcast/ Focus Group 'Investigate the witch cults of the radio age' CD last week. Have you heard it? think you'd like it - it's very Curse of the crimson altar stuff

That's a shame, especially from Mr Stand yer Ground ;^). Why let it be an issue?

I'd be interested in what's been rockin your world.

The way I see it, the idea of Soundtracks was/is simply to list things you've been listening to and maybe other folk might be interested and even want to know more and maybe try it for themselves. Personally, I don't think it's really the place for "Why do you listen to that? It's shit!" type blurb, although it seems on occasion some people seem to feel comfortable with that and yet strangely uncomfortable should any comeback ensue.

Anyway, we've been doing it for 7plus years so something must be going right amidst the occasional rapid dispersal of toys from prams. 8^)

I still read it every week.
There are several members here who's musical tastes inform mine very much.
But that's the thing...as you said. This thing with people jumping in and letting you KNOW how much they think YOUR tastes and choices suck....
Gets old hat quick. I don't think i've been guilty of it. But folks doing it to me or others just wrankles me. Not worth it.
