Keef, Watts, Wyman (a very underrated bass player when you listen to his live work circa 73) and Taylor were a great combo for five years or so, especially on stage, but Keef's musical growth rate is non existent since 75 and his obession with authenticity is completely yawn-inducing. As is the whole Jah Keef, Harder-Than-The-Rest thing.
I will admit that my musical opinion is slightly skewed by the fact that the older I get the less forgivable all that heroin chic nonsense seems to me.
Way too much junkie business for my liking. His pose has been a siren's song for too many impressionable young men.
Still Sticky Fingers is a killer record and he was brilliant in Stella Street.
