Guitars, catchy chorus and (very important) stomping. It would appear that it's not just us fans either.

I recall my joy when I first heard The Rezillo's cover of it!

I've recently found out that Wire included a version of it in their set, though I've not heard it.

Funnily enough I was playing the Rezillo's version to the Squidlings just the other night.

My mom standing at the bathroom mirror spraying lacquer on her BIG hair with a ciggie in hand, and The Supremes blasting away.

Running around at dusk at the age of 6 or 7 in an alley behind our house, barefoot, in the summertime, with the neighborhood kids.

Hunting for frogs in the nearby riverbed.

TV dinners in aluminum trays with compartments for the food.

Watching the Vietnam war on TV and seeing my mother cry.

Going to my best friends house, and seeing her older sisters get ready for a night out. The hippy clothes, the loud music, and the general giddiness of it all. Later, they would become rabid Bowie fans, and that's when I became hooked!

Swimming in the pool at my grandmothers' house in summertime, with the fragrance of blooming gardenia's in the air.

American Bandstand on Saturdays.

Then you had the 80's take, we called them 'poser belts'. Made of red taffita or summat, had a big silver square buckle thing (not really a buckle coz it 'snapped' into place).
Really narrow. Horrible!

Yet another 80's fashion aberration then !
