Ever heard their first album [not counting the Ambrose Slade one, which I still haven't heard] Play It Loud? It's a cracker... sounds kinda more like Groundhogs, rockin' Family etc than the Slade of the hit parade. Also Slade Alive is a killer, of course ;-)

I agree that is a wonderful album, esp - shape of things to come, i go crazy to that lp, slade are fabola and hard rockin. Born to be wild on slade alive is just about the best version of that song you'll find past the original, they rip that thing to peices. i'll give the finger to anyone who says theyr a crap joke band, why do people think that , just coz they wear silly cloze. They had so many number ones for a rock band its unbleivable.

I've been trying to get hold of Slade Alive on CD for yonks - can't believe it's out of print. The Squidlings love the greatest hits thing, and I have fond memories of Alive. Anyone got it on CD - I'd love a burn...
