I was born in Redditch, Worcestershire. And whilse everyone seems to be mentioning famous sons and daughters of their birth towns, I'll just casually mention the fabulous

Suburbia, specifically Watford, Hertfordshire.
Hometown of Geri Halliwell, possibly most famous for its Elton John connections, oh, and Wham too ( well, Bushey anyway ). That probably tells you all you need to know !
Some lovely countryside surrounds the town though especially considering it's only 18 miles from the centre of London.
