ZERO 7: The GARDEN
Mar 09, 2006, 19:50
Now, I know there are several folk here who detest this sort of thing, but suspect a few people might quietly be rather pleased to read the following:

Tour dates and summer festival announcements coming soon, but Zero 7's third album "The Garden" is due out on May 15th 2006.

The first single release from the album is ‘Futures’ featuring José Gonzalez which is available on March 13th in Limited Edition 12” and 7” formats along with digital download formats. Featuring brand new B Side tracks ‘Seeing Things’ instrumental (12”) and ‘Dreaming’ vocals from Sia Furler (7”).

Personally I love 'em.

I prefer Boomclick they play a similar kind of smooth vibe to zero 7 and their cd Halfway Between Tomorrow and Yesterday is well worth checking

yeah the are some good tracks on the album in a similar vein to Massive Attack\ zero 7. Incidentally I just read a review in Mojo of a band called The Aloof who did a album called Sinking - has anyone heard it ?

Haven't heard the whole album, but the single "One Night Stand" was pretty special in its long form.

You're bound to have heard some of it, the BBC looped the instrumental version when Princess Di died

I've got "when it falls" on cd, superb album. Quite beautiful in places, especially Somersault.

Wouldn't mund giving them a look live!

I've got the 'One Night Stand' single with loads of really good mixes on it, too. It's on a fairly high rotation here at Castle Calamity. Especially the Ashley Beedle mix. I didn't know about an album, though...

I have a Glastonbury performance on VHS if you want to borrow. Rolling's already had a go.
