I know he's done several covers before, but the idea of JC doing a 'covers album' like Bowie's Pin Ups...it would probably interesting but I would have thought he'd hate the idea.

There you go..knew there were a couple more..and when I got MNU and hadn't heard The 13th Floor Elevators album,Easter Everywhere..or knew much about it trackwise,I thought it might be a cover (had their been a 'title track") Was just suggeting that one might be able to compile their own Julian covers comp with what was out there....albeit a short one

that awesome version of Gimme Shelter was by Impulse Manslaughter. I have it on a mixtape I did with tad and mudhoney and other more obscure gems from Peel at the time, and I've been planning to transfer the recording, in all it's fuzzy glory onto cd-r. If you want one let me know. but who did the original "one tin soldier"?

Originally performed by a group called Coven for the (cult) classic film "The Legend Of Billy Jack" starring Tom Laughlin. And while I was fact checking on that up I came across: http://www.billyjack.com . . . did you know? Tom Laughlin is running for President in 2004! He's also making a new BJ movie! (inquire at the site if you want to invest!) Such a classic nutcase . . . :-)
